Riley Walsh’s introduction to film was an abrupt one. Thrown onto a set as a production assistant during his sophomore year of high school after a last-minute recommendation with no prior experience, he saw it as an entry point into a creative career he always wanted. That same night, he began writing and planning his first film with friends. What started as curiosity quickly became a commitment to visual storytelling, driven by a fascination with how images alone can carry emotion.
As a teenager, Riley honed his craft through narrative short films, developing a strong sense of pacing, composition, and visual tone. Working across personal projects, collaborations, and early client work, he became increasingly drawn to cinematography as both a technical discipline and a form of expression.
A 2025 graduate of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Riley is currently pursuing a B.F.A. in Film and Television at the Savannah College of Art and Design (Class of 2029). His work focuses on creating immersive, atmospheric imagery across narrative, commercial, and music video formats.
Riley approaches each project with careful intention, blending naturalistic lighting with stylized visuals to create images that feel both grounded and heightened. Whether working within a full crew or a stripped-down production, he adapts his process to serve the story.
Based between South Florida and Georgia, Riley is available for and is open to new creative collaborations.
